 This post is about TPS5430DDAR. The TPS543x is a high-output-current PWM converter that integrates a low-resistance, high-side N-channel MOSFET



TPS5430DDAR Overview

The TPS543x has a standard input start-up voltage of 5.3 V. The ENA pin can be used to turn off the TPS543x, lowering the supply current to 18 A. When the ENA pin is floating, an internal pullup current source allows operation. The TPS543x incorporates an intermal slow-start circuit that reduces rush current and output voltage overshoot by slowing the output rise time during startup. The inbuilt 1.221-V feedback reference serves as the minimum output voltage. An OVP comparator reduces output overvoltage transients. When the OVP comparator is active, the high-side MOSFET is deactivated and remains deactivated until the output voltage is less than 1125% of the intended output voltage. The integrated high-side MOSFET's peak current is limited by internal cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection.
