ADUCM355BCCZ Description

Electrochemical and biosensors are controlled and measured by the ADuCM355 on-chip system. An ultralow power, mixed-signal microcontroller called the ADuCM355 is built around the Arm Cortex-M3 processor. The tool has the ability to measure current, voltage, and impedance.

A 16-bit, 400 kSPS, multichannel successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with input buffers, an integrated antialias filter (AAF), and a programmable gain amplifier are included in the ADuCM355 (PGA). Three transimpedance amplifiers (TIA) with configurable gain and load resistors are included in the current inputs to measure various sensor types. Two low power amplifiers built expressly for potentiostat functionality are also part of the analog front end (AFE), which keeps an external electrochemical sensor's bias voltage constant. These two amplifiers' noninverting inputs are managed by on-chip, dual output digital-to-analog converters (DACs). A high speed DAC and output amplifier made to produce an ac signal are included in the analog outputs.
